My Counseling Philosophy
I believe that every child deserves to feel safe, loved, supported, and deeply valued for exactly who they are. As a school counselor, my work is rooted in connection, kindness, and genuine care. I want school to be a place where students feel a sense of belonging, where they know they matter, and where they are supported in growing socially, emotionally, and academically. My goal is to create spaces filled with warmth, joy, and acceptance, where students can be themselves and feel deeply held and supported.

My Beliefs

1
Every Child Matters
Every student deserves patience, kindness, and care. Their stories, strengths, and challenges are real and important, and they deserve adults who truly see and believe in them.
2
All Feelings Are Okay
Students experience big emotions and real life challenges, and those feelings are important. I believe kids deserve a safe space to talk, process, and build healthy coping skills. Listening with empathy helps students feel understood and strengthens their ability to handle difficult moments.
3
Belonging Helps Kids Thrive
Students learn and grow best when they feel included, safe, and accepted. When kids feel like they belong, they build confidence, try new things, and engage more fully in school. Creating welcoming, supportive environments helps every student feel comfortable being themselves.
Working Together as a School Community
When we work as a community, students feel supported from every direction, and that makes a powerful difference.
How I Love to Work as a Team
• With Families: Building trusting relationships, sharing
communication, and supporting students together
• With Teachers and Staff: Collaborating, problem solving, and
celebrating kids alongside the school team
• With Students: Helping them feel surrounded by support,
encouragement, and care
